An American Indian Legend
![]()
An old American Indian legend tells of a brave who
found an eagle's egg one day and put it in a prairie
chicken's nest. The eaglet hatched at the same time
as a nestful of prairie chickens saw the light of day,
and grew up alongside them.
All his life the young eagle did exactly what prairie chickens do. He pecked for insects and grubs in the earth. He clucked and cackled exactly like a prairie chicken. And when he flew it was always in a cloud of feathers and only for a few yards at most. After all, that's how prairie chickens fly. The years passed and the eagle grew old. One day he saw a magnificent bird gliding high in the cloudless sky. Gracefully the huge bird rode the air currents, hardly moving his great golden wings. "What a beautiful bird!" exclaimed our eagle to his prairie chicken friends. "What is it?" "That's an eagle, the king of birds," clucked his neighbor. "But you better forget about it. You'll never be an eagle." And so the eagle forgot all about the magnificent bird and died, thinking he was a prairie chicken. Have you ever thought you were less than you could be, like the eagle who thought he was a prairie chicken? If so, think again... |

Let's us Laugh
![]()
WHEN we're feeling cross and snappy,
Let us laugh.
Let's be cheerful, bright and happy, Let us laugh. Laugh--and let the face be brighter, Laugh -- and let the heart be lighter; Then the life will be the whiter -- Let us laugh. When the world is frowning at us, Let us laugh. When our foes with venom spat us, Let us laugh. Spatting back is rather riling, but there's nothing more beguiling to an enemy than smiling -- Let us laugh. When dire tribulations meet us, Let us laugh. Troubles laughed at won't defeat us, Let us laugh. Laughing's better far than whining -- laughter is the silver lining, proving that life's sun is shining -- Let us laugh. When the tempter tries to lead us, Let us laugh. Merry hearts will heavenward lead us, Let us laugh. When our own "blue devils" bite us, and endeavor to affright us, LAUGH! and they will cease to fight us. |

I have received a number of e-mails from members
who say, "The Personal Development Institute may
be a fine idea, but I have real problems, money
problems, and it's hard being positive when you're
broke!"
In response I suggest reading a classic book about personal development called "Acres of Diamonds." This is a book that should be read over and over again by anyone who wants to improve their financial situation. If you are not religious, some references in the book that mention God may disturb you, but in my opinion they are not intrusive, nor do they detract from the positive and practical message. The book starts with something you're sure to enjoy: a story about personal inspiration. As a loyal Personal Develeopment Institute Subsriber, this book plus 9 others are being offered to you for immediate download. You will get Acres of Diamonds, The Science of Getting Rich, Think and Grow Rich, Within You is The Power, Meditations, How to Live on 24 Hours a Day, The Analysis of Mind, Art of War, As a Man Thinketh and as a Special Bonus a Preview of Your personal Road Map for Success. a $240.00 USD value All for only $10.00. ![]()
